Henrikh Mkhitaryan already frustrated with life at Manchester UnitedPublished September 14, 2016
Manchester United’s summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan already seems to be somewhat frustrated with life at Old Trafford.
The Armenian star, signed from Borussia Dortmund for £26m, hasn’t made an impact for the Reds so far, with fitness issues seemingly effecting the player’s performances this season.
But according to The Sun, there could be more to the 27-year-old’s recent slump, then meets the eye.
A report from the broadsheet claims, that the Armenian international has become increasingly frustrated with being played out of position so far this season.
Mkhitaryan has been used out wide as one of the three behind the striker, and not in his more natural number 10 position.
Last term, the 27-year-old was voted best player in the Bundesliga after scoring 11 times with 15 assists, mainly from his favoured No 10 role.
The midfielder has already come under scrutiny from United boss Jose Mourinho, who seemed to criticise the player for his below par performance against Manchester City in the derby on Saturday.
It seems as though Henrikh Mkhitaryan should get used to his new role quickly, or face the wrath of Jose Mourinho, and a spell on the United sidelines.
