Guardiola admits he doesn't know whether Aguero will remain at City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that he does not know whether star striker Sergio Aguero will remain at the club amid intense speculation over his future.
The Argentine has had to settle for a place on the bench in recent weeks with the form of Brazilian Gabriel Jesus and other attacking players.
There has been talk that Real Madrid may make a move for the striker should he feel unsettled at the club.
Pep admitted in a recent press conference that he was unsure over the players future.
“At the end of the season I don’t know. I know how difficult it is to find top goalscorers,” he explained.
“I would like him to remain, but I don’t know what is going to happen.”
Manchester City have the chance to go second in the Premier League tonight should they beat Bournemouth in the Monday Night Football fixture.
Tottenham dropped points at Liverpool which has allowed the Citizens to creep up the table should they seal all three points this evening.
