French champions eye surprising move for Liverpool frontman
Paris Saint-Germain are planning a shock loan bid for struggling Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the summer, according to the Sunday Mirror, per Sky.
The England striker’s career at Anfield has stalled somewhat in recent years, with injuries and poor form relegating him in the eyes of boss Jurgen Klopp, who has been in charge since taking over from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.
It is looking increasingly likely that he may have to leave The Reds in order to find regular first team football, just three years after almost helping them to the Premier League title by scoring 21 goals.
The move to PSG will likely be a loan move initially, but if Sturridge could play to his capabilities, a permanent move could be in the pipeline.
But it would be interesting to see if he can handle the competition in Ligue 1, with Edinson Cavani and Julian Draxler impressing recently.
