In the build up to the big event, we at Free Bets, have named five young players to watch out for during the tournament this summer.
Dele Alli (England)
The 20-year-old has been in sparkling form in the Premier League this season, and is already a prominent member of Roy Hodgson’s squad after eye catching performances against the likes of France and Germany earlier this year. The midfielder has all the attributes to light up the tournament.
Leroy Sane (Germany)
The 20-year-old is one of Europe’s hottest young prospects and the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for the German international. He might not start much for the World Cup winners, but when he does appear expect fireworks.
Renato Sanchez (Portugal)
At just 18-years-old, the midfielder will be the youngest member of Portugal’s squad at the tournament. The starlet has recently sealed a blockbuster move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, and the midfielder is certainly one to watch out for in France.
Anthony Martial (France)
The Manchester United forward has enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season at Old Trafford, and is now one of the most feared young strikers in Europe. The 20-year-old is being tipped by many to be the star of the tournament this summer, and the young forward could lead the hosts to glory.
Oscar Hiljemark (Sweden)
The 23-year-old captained Sweden to success in the European Under-21 Championship in the summer, and the midfielder was instrumental in Palermo’s survival in Serie A last season. He has long been touted as a future Sweden international, and his time to shine has now arrived.
