Everton star assaulted in nightclub following Leicester City victory
Everton’s Ross Barkley was the subject of an attack on Sunday night following their 4-2 win over Leicester City at Goodison.
The English midfielder was caught on CCTV talking to the offender with seemingly no issues before the man lashed out at Barkley catching him unaware as he hit the deck.
Staff and others in the night club were quick to pull the offender away from Barkley who had seemingly been left in a heap on the floor.
Speaking shortly after the footage went viral on social media, Barkley’s lawyer confirmed that it was, in fact, him that had been attacked by a stranger that had approached him.

The player has impressed everyone after the turn of the year and had impressed yet again in recent performances.
It is yet to be seen what action will be now be taken to find the offender and whether Ross Barkley will look to press charges after the unprovoked attack.
