The new England boss, has made just three changes to the England side that was humiliated by Iceland at Euro 2016 for his first match in charge.
John Stones, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana are recalled in Allardyce’s first starting line-up as England manager, with Chris Smalling, Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli dropping out of the XI that were embarrassed by Iceland in June.
Ahead of Sunday’s all important match, there is already murmurings of discontent, from England fans who were expecting sweeping changes, but are getting much of the same old.
Wayne Rooney remains England captain, whilst the starting XI set to play on Sunday, bears no difference to that of a Roy Hodgson side, during his failed stint whilst in charge of the Three Lions.
All eyes will be on the new England boss, come Sunday to see if the former Sunderland manager, can really bring about change in the national team’s fortunes.
For England fans, their patience seems to already be running thin.
