Now, recent reports claim that Ronaldo himself is interested in returning to Manchester United this summer in what could be a collasal deal.

The Portugal star has been surrounded by controversy in recent weeks following allegations regarding paying his taxes.

It is said that the player was extremely upset and sad about the allegations and in recent months has discussed how much he misses the Premier League following being booed by Real Madrid fans over the winter period.

Now, if Sky Sources are on the money, it looks like Cristiano could be headed back to the Red Devils for a second stint which would certainly be the biggest deal since he left Manchester United for the Spanish capital.

There are no suggestions of what a potential fee is or even if Manchester United would be willing to shell out on a Ronaldo return but there is no doubt it will be more than when he originally signed for Real Madrid in a £80 million deal.

Get ready for a summer of rumours, Manchester United fans.
