Manchester City target admits he "doesn't know" what future holds
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen admits he is unsure whether he will remain at the Camp Nou amid fresh links with Manchester City, per Sky.
Ter Stegen, 24, was said to be City’s number one goalkeeping target last summer, but the Blaugrana did not want to sell and instead allowed fellow stopper Claudio Bravo to move to the Etihad Stadium.
But Bravo has struggled to adapt to the Premier League and Pep Guardiola has dropped him in favour of Willy Caballero recently.
City may be interested in Ter Stegen this summer and the German was less than convincing when asked if he would stay at Barcelona for the long-term.
“I don’t know,” he said.
“I try to do the best for me and for the team. Give my best and improve. You never know what comes after.”
“I live in the moment, that is what is most important. I am happy here with my colleagues and friends and I hope to win many more trophies, that is the goal.”
The Catalans are keen to retain the former Borussia Monchengladbach man’s services and are in talks to extend his contract, which currently expires in 2019.
