Chelsea star wants new contract in the summer
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admits he would like a new contract, but says he is very happy at Stamford Bridge, per Sky.
The Belgian stopper has been with the Blues since 2011 but spent three years on loan at Atletico Madrid. He usurped Petr Cech as number one in 2014 and helped guide Chelsea to the title that season under Jose Mourinho.
Now, with Antonio Conte in charge, Chelsea look set to lift another title. But Courtois is said to be interesting Real Madrid, who are monitoring his situation.
He says he is more than happy with his current club, but admitted he would wait and see what happens in the summer.
“I have two more years of contract left. In London everything is going well for me and I am happy,” he said.
“We will see at the end of the season whether they offer me something, but at the moment there is no offer. Would I like to be offered a new deal? Sure.
“I’m very happy at Chelsea and if they want to continue with me, that would be great.”
