Chelsea & Man United ready to fork out £40m to land goal-machine: Bidding war likely as Premier League sides chase striker
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the chase for Celtic forward Moussa Dembele according to the Scottish Daily Record.
The 20-year-old forward has proven a big success since his move from Championship side Fulham to Glasgow giants Celtic and is now attracting a number of big suitors.
As well as Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho courting the French Under-21 international this source claims that Real Madrid are also taking a keen interest in the marksman.
Celtic moved to snap up Dembele on a free transfer this summer and he has gone on to net seven goals in seven Scottish Premiership starts but more impressively has also done well at Champions League level, most significantly grabbing a brace against Man City.
A £40m price-tag has been placed on Dembele and one can well see why both Chelsea and Man United would be interested in bringing in such a potent youthful talent.
Conte has had to rely heavily on Diego Costa this term whilst Mourinho has seen veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit a poor run of form and is clearly in the latter stages of his glittering career.
Celtic would be loathed to lose Dembele but would find it hard to keep hold of the player should either Premier League side come calling.
