Chelsea offer bumper contract to Real Madrid Galactico
Chelsea have offered Real Madrid playmaker Isco £160,000-per-week to swap the Santiago Bernabeu for Stamford Bridge this summer, per The Sun.
The 24-year-old’s future in Spain is in doubt with Zinedine Zidane often leaving him out of the first team. He has never been able to establish himself in Madrid, joining the club from Malaga in 2013.
A number of clubs including Tottenham, Manchester City and Real’s eternal rivals Barcelona are said to be in the race to sign him, says The Sun, but Chelsea hope matching his wage demands will put them in pole position.
The Blues are currently top of the Premier League by seven point and look all but certain to win a fifth title and a first under boss Antonio Conte.
But the Italian is keen to add creativity to his side, especially with the future of Cesc Fabregas in doubt. Fabregas has been linked with a summer exit and has not always been a first choice player under Conte this season.
