Chelsea on loan XI could challenge in the Premier League [Graphic]Published September 4, 2016
In today’s game, It’s become the general tradition for teams in higher divisions to send out their latest young stars on loan, in search of regular-first team football to help their development, coinciding with lower-league sides taking advantage of this system.
Whilst on the face of it, this seems like a win win for all parties involved, there comes a point where certain clubs could be accused of taking advantage of the system, and something tells me Premier League giants Chelsea, could be one of them.
The West London side, currently have a staggering 38 players out on loan, which almost makes up an additional two Premier League squads.
Amongst the players sent out on loan include promising youngsters, Charly Musonda, and Andreas Christensen, but if you thought that it was just youngsters sent on loan by the former league champions, then you would indeed be wrong.
Loic Remy’s summer move to Crystal Palace, was seen as a real coup for the South London side, whilst Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado, has moved to Serie A giants Juventus on a three season loan deal.
Other players included in the list, include full-back Baba Rahman, who only completed a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, whilst Brazilian starlet Kennedy has also been allowed to leave the club after being sent on loan to Watford.
Take a look at our very own Chelsea on loan XI.
How do you think this side would compete in the Premier League?
