Chelsea boss keen on reunion with Italy midfielder this summer
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a move to be reunited with Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio this summer, per the Daily Star.
Conte worked with the 31-year-old during his three-year spell at Juve and then again when in charge of the Italian national team before departing to take charge of the Blues in the summer following Euro 2016.
According to the Star, Tutto Mercato Web report Conte has made Marchisio his number one target. The midfielder, who has spent his entire career at the Bianconeri other than a brief loan spell with Empoli has fallen down the pecking order recently.
Current boss Max Allegri has preferred Sami Khedira and Miralem Pjanic in midfield this season, leaving the door open for a deal to be struck.
By the time he arrives, Chelsea could well be champions of England, currently leading the Premier League by eight points.
