Chelsea boss Antonio Conte desperate to land PSG star Angel Di Maria next summer, player wants Premier League returnPublished September 26, 2016
What a signing this would be.
According to reports coming out of the Spanish press on Monday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is desperate to sign PSG winger Angel Di Maria next summer, and will do whatever it takes to sign the former Manchester United player.
According to Spanish broadsheet Don Balon, the Argentine attacker has apparently become unhappy at the Ligue 1 club, since Unai Emery’s appointment in the summer, and Chelsea are ready to pounce to claim the 28-year-old’s signature in 2017.
The report also goes on to claim that Di Maria is interested in a move back to the Premier League, despite his disappointing stint in England’s top-flight with Manchester United in 2014, after the Red Devils paid a whopping £59.7m to sign the former Real Madrid attacker.
The Argentine has failed to impress in his 14 appearances for PSG this campaign.
He is yet to bag his first goal of the season and has only registered two assists for the French giants.
It’s now believed that Di Maria has his sights set on a departure from France, and England could very well end up being his next destination.
