Catalan giants plan reunion with former star
Barcelona are planning a surprising summer swoop to re-sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer, joining Manchester City and Arsenal in the race for his services, per Talksport.
Bayern lured the Spain midfielder to the Bundesliga in 2013 for £22million. The deal caused a stir at Camp Nou and the LaLiga giants’ hierarchy are keen to bring him back.
Thiago is a key player for Bayern, but they may have a battle on their hands to keep him at the club at the end of the season, with Pep Guardiola, the man behind his move to Bayern, wanting to bring him to Manchester City.
His brother, Rafinha, is still at Barcelona and perhaps that could be a key factor in any deal. But the club is set for a transitional period in the summer, with Luis Enrique leaving his post as manager.

With 36 appearances for club and country this term, the 25-year-old continues to develop into one of Europe’s best playmakers. He was seen as the heir to Xavi Hernandez at Barcelona before he left four years ago.
His performance in the Champions League against Arsenal recently helped Bayern to a stunning 10-2 aggregate win.
