Bojan leaves Stoke with emotional message to fans
Stoke playmaker Bojan Krkic has penned an emotional open letter to the club’s fans after joining Bundesliga club Mainz on loan until the end of the season.
The Spaniard, 26, who arrived at the Britannia Stadium on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 after playing for the likes of Barcelona, Milan, Ajax and Roma earlier in his career has recently found first team football tough to come by under Mark Hughes.
With the likes of Marco Anautovic, Xherdan Shaqiri and 35-year-old former England striker Peter Crouch keeping him out of the team, Bojan had told Stoke he wanted to leave in the January transfer window, per Sky Sports.
Sky also reported interest from fellow Premier League side Middlesbrough, but a deal never materialised. The talented former teammate of Lionel Messi has packed his bags and jetted off to Germany.
But before departing, Bojan had one last goodbye for the Potters fans.

After a tough start to the current campaign, Stoke have settled in their regular midtable spot in the league, currently sitting 9th.
