Biggest hint yet that Romelu Lukaku will leave Everton this summer
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is set to leave the Merseyside club in the summer.
Following Chelsea’s 3-0 win at Goodison Park, the Belgian was seen in deep conversation with Stamford bridge chief Michael Emenalo.
With links between Lukaku and Chelsea during recent transfer windows including prior to the one coming up, the ground work could be now set in place.
Having come off the back of a heavy defeat against his old side, Chelsea now look set for the Premier League title, something which could very well entice Lukaku back to his former club.
Reports suggest that Everton are looking for around £100m for the sale of their best player, something which would make Lukaku the most expensive player in the history of football.
Whether they will get that much is yet to be seen, but with added resources from the backing of Farhad Moshiri, Everton are in no need to sell at this point in time.
Safe to say, we haven’t heard the last of this saga and it is likely to be something we hear an awful lot during the transfer window.
