Barcelona star committed to the club for the long haul
Barcelona’s Brazilian superstar Neymar has spoken of his relief at penning a new contract at the Camp Nou, per Sky.
Neymar, 25, has asserted himself as a world class player since joining the Blaugrana from Santos in 2013, helping his club win two LaLiga titles and the Champions League.
Speculation over his future refused to go away for long periods, with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barça’s eternal rivals Real Madrid all keen to sign him.
But he eventually penned a new deal which runs until 2021, something he says he is extremely pleased about.
“I want to be here and that’s why I renewed my contract,” he said.

“I’m very happy with everything I have done here for the club, happy with my team-mates and I feel at home.”
But Barça fans’ nerves are refusing to go away because their talisman, Lionel Messi, has just a year to run on his deal. Neymsr hopes that situation will be sorted soon.
“I’ve been here for almost four years and I’ve learnt a lot from him,” he said of Messi.
“I’ve learnt everything, how to shoot, how to attentive on the pitch and how to move the ball.
“I hope he renews his contract and I hope the people at Barcelona start working so Leo stays with us.”
