Aubameyang confirms Manchester City and Real Madrid interest
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the hottest strikers in the market so it’s no surprise to hear clubs such as Real Madrid interested in his signature.
However, the Borussia Dortmund striker has revealed that Manchester City held talks with his representatives in a bid to sign him during the summer.
Aubameyang told French outlet Onze that the Premier League side made contact with his father and agent but nothing came of it.
“It’s true, there was contact. My father held talks with the club, but in the end there was nothing concrete.”
The Gabon international also responded to rumours concerned a potential move to La Liga giants Real Madrid stating it would be a dream move.

He continued: “I think there was interest [from Real Madrid], but it was more distant so I didn’t get too carried away.
“I was asked in interview: ‘What is the club of your dreams?’ I replied: ‘Real is the club of my heart and I made a promise to my grandfather to play there one day, I hope it will happen.’
“So it’s just a target, I still have time. If they want me, they will come.”
It sounds like Aubameyang is already shaping up to be the next summer’s biggest transfer. How close will be come to Paul Pogba’s record fee, or will the 26-year-old overtake it?
