Arsene Wenger confirms interest in Monaco wonder kid
Arsenal and Monaco have their links down the years ever since Gunners legend Thierry Henry began his professional career at the Lingue 1 outlet.
However, Henry did not join Arsenal directly from Monaco. The Frenchman’s spell at Juventus didn’t quite to plan and Wenger was there ready mould one of the best players in English football history.
A revolutionary signing.
Out with the old and in with the new as we turn our attention to 2017. Wenger has lauded praise on Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappé by comparing him to the great Henry.
Mbappé, 18, has played 11 games in Ligue 1 this season, scoring four goals and creating six assists.
Wenger has drawn comparisons to Thierry Henry for his style and ability.
Speaking to a French media outlet, the Arsenal boss explained that the potential and current ability of Mbappe is similar to that of Henry at Monaco.
“After that, I see the same level of motivation and desire,” Wenger said.
Now you can be sure every club in Europe will be tracking Mbappé.
