Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas remains confident Alexandre Lacazette will stay at the club next season, per Sky.

Lacazette, 26, has been quoted saying he wants to leave the club this summer, having scored 27 goals in just 30 Ligue 1 games last term.

Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have been linked with a move for Lacazette, with the Gunners preparing for the possible summer departure of Alexis Sanchez.

But Aulas, who also admitted to an interest in Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud, insists he is confident Lacazette will stay put despite the mounting speculation over his future.

He said: “I do not think that Alexandre Lacazette will leave this summer.

“I do not have anything to say about Olivier Giroud. We’re interested. Things haven’t advanced.”
