Arsenal target Premier League outcast to boost title chances next season
Arsenal are targeting a summer move for Manchester City outcast Joe Hart once the England goalkeeper returns from his loan spell at Torino.
Hart’s long term future is unclear with a return to City unlikely. Boss Pep Guardiola made his opinion of the star clear by ostracising him before signing Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, who he believes has better kicking ability.
Hart remains one of Europe’s best goalkeepers and will undoubtedly have a number of offers come the end of the season. The Gunners, though, could be a surprising option.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsene Wenger is keen to lure Hart to the Emirates Stadium despite only signing Petr Cech from Chelsea 18 months ago. The article claims, if Hart arrives, the 34-year-old will remain as back up,
It is unlikely that at this stage of his career that Cech will accept sitting on the bench as he had to do with the Blues in 2014-15, when Thibaut Courtois kept goal on the way to lifting the Premier League title.
Many City fans were unhappy with the treatment of Hart and are calling on Guardiola to reinstate him as Bravo continues to struggle to adapt to the English game.
