Arsenal still chasing Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann in £65m deal, secret talks being heldPublished August 28, 2016
Despite all the agony and frustrations, Arsenal fans may still yet have a transfer window to remember.
Gunners fans had endured quite a torrid time of things this summer, with their club failing to land any of their wanted big name targets.
That was of course until Friday, when Arsene Wenger confirmed that the club were on the brink of signing La Liga pair, Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi for a combined fee in the region of £55m.
Those deals are now virtually done, but the biggest deal of them all may still be yet to come.
It has recently been revealed that Arsene Wenger tried to pull of a rather spectacular deal by signing French star Antoine Griezmann, and Wenger has spent the majority of his summer trying to strike a deal with Griezmann’s club Atletico Madrid.
Whilst so far Wenger’s attempts have been unfruitful, it’s understood that the Gunners are still locked in talks with the La Liga outfit, to see if they can agree a fee before the end of this summer’s transfer window, with Arsenal willing to offer up to £65m to land the talented forward.
Hold on to your hats folks! This week may get very interesting!
