Arsenal star wants Premier League stay, Bayern Munich fearPublished June 18, 2017
Bayern Munich are fearful of missing out on Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez because they believe he wants to join Manchester City, per Sky.
Sanchez, 28, is the subject of intense speculation, with a move away from the Emirates Stadium appearing increasingly likely. The Chilean’s contract is expiring in a year’s time and as of yet there is no news on a renewal.
Bayern are among the interested parties, with Sanchez’s international teammate Arturo Vidal encouraging him to join the German champions.
But they believe he is pricing himself out of a move to the Bundesliga in a bid to reunite with Pep Guardiola at City.
The pair worked together at Barcelona for one season, with Guardiola signing Sanchez from Udinese in 2011, three years before he joined Arsenal.
He has previously spoken of his frustration at the Gunners’ lack of progress during his career there, and will now have to leave to stay in the Champions League after Arsenal failed to qualify last season.
