Arsenal star makes decision on his future - and it's not good news
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has decided to leave the club after becoming disillusioned with the lack of progress in North London, according to the Daily Star.
The Chilean has less than 18 months remaining on his Gunners contract, having joined from Barcelona in 2014, and there have been few signs of a new deal forthcoming.
It had been suggested that the 28-year-old’s future depended on that of boss Arsene Wenger – who is free to leave in the summer after 21 years at the club – but the report says he has made up his mind whatever happens.
With Sanchez reaching his peak years, he believes he has to leave the Emirates Stadium to win more trophies. He has only won the FA Cup during his time in England.
The Gunners look certain to exit the Champions League after a 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, while languishing 13 points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League.
A move back to Spain has been rumoured, with both Atletico Madrid and Sevilla monitoring his situation. The Star also claims his Arsenal teammates are already aware of the situation.
