Earlier this summer the Gunners failed in a bid to sign French striker Alexandre Lacazette, with Lyon confirming they rejected an offer in the region of £29m from Arsenal in July.
Whilst it was believed that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger pulled the plug on another offer, it seems like desperation has gotten the better of him, as we approach the last week of the transfer window.
According to reports, the deal to bring Lacazette to the Emirates is back on, with Arsenal and Lyon locked in secret talks in order to find an amount which the Ligue 1 side acceptable.
It’s now believed that a deal to bring the striker to North London will finally go ahead, and movement on this transfer story is set to gather pace in the next few days.
