Why Arsenal must beat Liverpool to sign perfect Mesut Ozil replacement in bargain £20m deal!
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is having a tough time of it of late and speculation is rife that the German international is unlikely to sign a new contract and as such lead him nearer to an Emirates Stadium exit.
Some have tied Ozil’s future to Wenger’s and there are many who would happily take a big fee for the former Real Madrid man, such is his status at the North London club right now.

Arsenal fans needn’t fear Ozil’s exit and it just so happens that the Premier League side could pick up a superb replacement for a relatively low fee….
Liverpool are said to be chasing Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze and the Daily Mirror claim the 24-year-old could be available for as little as £20m, and Arsenal would do well to keep their eyes peeled to the situation.
Gotze returned to the Westfalenstadion last summer, after an up and down three season spell at Bayern Munich, but has failed to make an impact under Thomas Tuchel and could be available at the end of the current campaign.
Thus far this term Gotze has made just nine Bundesliga starts and could be tempted by a fresh challenge and the chance to move to Arsenal may prove tempting.
Gotze was considered one of the hottest prospects in world football when he first burst onto the scene and of course he became a household name after netting the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final.
Ozil cost Arsenal a club record £42.5m back in 2013 and last season he finished as the Premier League’s leading assist-maker but this season he has struggled for form and has become something of a scapegoat for a relatively poor season.
In 2016/17 Ozil has managed just five goals and four assists in Premier League action and has just 18 months to run on his current contract, and this summer could be Arsenal’s last opportunity to secure a big fee from his sale.
