Arsenal man keen on Serie A switch this summer
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere wants to join AC Milan when jis loan spell at Bournemouth expires at the end of the season, per the Daily Mail, via Sky.
Wilshere, 25, switched to the Vitality Stadium in order to get regular game time following years of injuries which caused him to fall down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger.
A permanent switch to Bournemouth is unlikely, but the chances of a return to the Gunners are also decreasing, meaning the England man’s future is up in the air.
Wenger’s own situation is unclear too. While he has decided on his future, the Arsenal manager of 21 years is yet to announce his intentions around renewing his contract, which expires in three months time.
Wilshere is believed to want to follow in England teammate Joe Hart’s footsteps and test himself in Italy. Hart is currently on loan at Torino after being made surplus to requirements at Manchester City.
Milan were said to be among those keen to sign Wilshere last year, but he chose not to uproot his young family on such short notice. If the Rossoneri were to return for him, he would be much more receptive to a move.
