Arsenal fans have taken to social media, in the aftermath of the their side’s 1-1 draw against PSG, in the opening game of the Champions League group stage.

Edinson Cavani glanced PSG ahead after 42 seconds and should have had a hat-trick before half-time, firing wide after rounding David Ospina before slipping to fluff a simple finish.

But Alexis Sanchez salvaged a point for the Gunners late in the second-half, to end the contest all square in Paris.

Whilst on the face of it, a draw away from home in Europe should be seen as a good result, Arsenal fans were left angry with Wenger for a number of key tactical decisions.

Arsenal’s starting XI was rotated, something which did not seem to please fans, whilst in all truth, despite the impressive point, PSG should really have won the game quite comfortably, with Arsenal grateful for some poor finishing and brilliant pieces of goalkeeping from keeper David Ospina, who was selected ahead of Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal.

After the final whistle in Paris, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to express their relief in gaining a point, whilst also expressing their complete bemusement in their French manager.

Wenger won't ever win the champions league and I don't think he will win another premiership title. #PSGvAFC

Embarrassing for The Arsenal. Wenger simply can't compete at CL level. Team has no shape, trying to go thru middle continuously. Rubbish!!

Only Wenger would buy a much needed steely central midfield player for £32m and then constantly bench him...
