Arsenal Groundhog Day seems to be upon us once again.

The Gunners have a tradition of selling some of their big name players to Premier League rivals Manchester City, with ten players swapping the famous Red shirt for that of Sky Blue down the years.

The likes of Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Bacary Sagna have all made the switch from London to Manchester, and according to reports coming out of Spain, the trend is set to continue.

According to Barcelona-based Mundo Deportivo. promising full-back Hector Bellerin is considering a move to the Etihad this summer.

The report goes on to suggest that whilst the Spanish right-back is happy at the Emirates, he is tempted to make the move to City so that he can play under Blues boss Pep Guardiola, who he never managed to play under during his time at Barca.

Mundo Deportivo reference the English media in estimating Bellerin’s price tag at a whopping €51m.

Whilst this price seems a staggering amount for a young defender, the report claims that the price tag has not put off City, and that Bellerin’s agents flew to England this weekend to study all the offers and interest from the player, which also includes interest from Atletico, PSG and Bayern Munich.

Whilst we wait and see how his story develops, it’s clear by the reaction on Twitter that Arsene Wenger would have a lot to answer for, should he cash in on one of Arsenal’s prized assets.
