Arsenal fans, it’s finally happening!

For fans in North London, the summer transfer window has felt like a bad dream.

The Gunners have been linked with every big name player in world football, only to see their search for more signings prove unfruitful.

That is until now….

It is understood that Arsenal are close to completing deals for Deportivo striker Lucas Perez, and Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, in deals which will cost a combined figure in the region of £55m.

Fans at the Emirates had called for Arsene Wenger to spend, at it looks like he has done exactly that.

The two signings would address Arsenal’s biggest remaining needs in this transfer window, with Arsene Wenger already having spent £30m on midfielder Granit Xhaka while also bringing in young defender Rob Holding and forward Takuma Asano.

But it’s the imminent signings of both Perez and Mustafi which have got fans in North London shaking their heads in disbelief, that Arsene Wenger has actually spent some money.

Take a look at some of the Tweets below.

Holding, Mustafi, Xhaka and Perez, although I wanted a world class striker I'm happy with this.

There's denying that it's been a poor window from Arsenal, but if we come out of it with Xhaka, Mustafi & Perez I'd be delighted #AFC
