Arsenal closing in on the signing of £11m Paraguayan striker, deal set to be completed imminentlyPublished August 30, 2016
It seems that Arsene Wenger has been fooling us all along.
For months now, it seemed as though the Gunners boss, was too stubborn in his ways to splash the cash in order for his side to compete in transfer market against potential tile rivals.
But over the last week, the 66-year-old has defied his critics and banished the labels, with the North London side completing £55m double deal for La Liga players Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.
But, for Arsenal fans, it seems as though their club’s transfer business is not done just yet.
According to The Sun, the Gunners are set to move for £11m Paraguay forward, Miguel Almiron of Argentine side Lanus this week, before the transfer window.
Almiron, 22, is a highly rated talent who made his debut for his country at Copa America this summer, and his performances could now earn him a big move to Europe.
It’s believed that talks are underway and are at an advanced stage, and a deal is set to be agreed before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
