Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool chase Bayern Munich star
Thomas Muller has been linked with a shock move to one of the Premier League big boys.
Reports in German newspaper Sport BILD this morning claim Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all want to sign the Bayern Munich star this summer.
Juventus are also linked with the forward, who has Champions League and World Cup winners’ medals to his name.
The paper says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has internally expressed his desire to take Muller to Anfield. Talks could get underway this month with the Merseyside outfit playing a pre-season tournament (Audi Cup) in Munich.
Publicly, however, Bayern chief-executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has insisted the Germany frontman is going nowhere.
Rummenigge said: “Thomas is still unsaleable because he fits perfectly with FC Bayern. There is no discussion about this.
“But Thomas, as well as we are, are in agreement in the evaluation of the last season: It was not a good one.
“But that is not a problem either. Thomas also knows that he has to bring a piece more.”
Muller only scored five Bundesliga goals last term and endured a 999-minute Bundesliga goal drought. He is under contract with Munich until 2021.
