Antonio Conte wants reunion with La Liga star at Chelsea
Chelsea are looking to revisit their interest in Spain striker Alvaro Morata in the summer, but could find it tough to lure him from Real Madrid, per Goal.
Blues boss Antonio Conte, who worked with the 23-year-old at Juventus, was keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge before Real signed their former player thanks to a buy-back option last year.
Morata returned to the Santiago Bernabeu full of hope of making a better impact than in his first spell, but despite a struggling Karim Benzema, he hasn’t quite got going.
Yet he remains keen to stay and impress boss Zinedine Zidane, meaning any move to the Premier League could be unlikely at this stage.
Chelsea are currently top of the table and steamrolling to a fifth title in the modern era, with Conte proving a real hit in West London.
But the Italian may need a new striker next summer, with speculation growing that top scorer Diego Costa is less than happy at the club with Chinese Super League sides lurking.
