Adnan Januzaj prefers Courtios to De Gea in dream five-aside team
Adnan Januzaj may only be 21, but he has played with some of the best footballers during his time as a professional.
The Manchester United forward, formerly of Borussia Dortmund, is currently on loan at Sunderland, who have struggled since the new Premier League season began.
In a video for Sunderland’s official YouTube channel, Januzaj named his dream five-aside team which included Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois over David de Gea as goalkeeper.
“He’s young and he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world,” Januzaj said of the Belgium national team stopper.
In defence, he picked two time Champions League winner Patrice Evra, who Januzaj played with at United.
“He was great behind me for my first year at United. He was very good. He’s a difficult player to play against.”
In midfield we have Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba for different reasons. The Belgian for tackling (laughs) and Pogba for sheer class and technicality.
Completing the ‘fantastic’ five is former Arsenal and United striker Robin van Persie, who Januzaj describes as having unbelievable technical ability, an attribute essential to a five-aside player.
“His technical ability is unbelievable. His finishing of course, everyone knows how good he is at finishing.”
