France v Romania Free Bets | Euro 2016

The host nation kick-off Euro 2016 with a game that they should win, but one in which it might take them a while to break down a Romanian team that is likely to be content to frustrate and hope to get something on the counter-attack or from a set-piece.

France go into the game with huge expectations resting on them, but Didier Deschamps has a squad with a wealth of big-match experience at some of the most high-profile clubs in the world.  They are unlikely to be overawed by the sense of occasion.

Romania have nothing much to lose, but this is not a team comparable to that of Gheorge Hagi and company from a generation ago, with very few of Anghel Iordenescu’s squad plying their trade in any of Europe’s major leagues.  What they do have is a solid defence and in Ciprian Tatarusanu and Costel Pantilimon, two very decent goalkeepers vying for the number one shirt.

As one would expect, the France v Romania Euro 2016 betting offers firmly favour the host nation.  Romania finished second to Northern Ireland in what was a fairly weak qualifying group and although they only conceded a very commendable two goals in their 10 matches (and none on their travels), it’s worth noting that they only scored 11 themselves.

The best option for any France v Romania free bets might be to back something like France to win to nil, as this is unlikely to be a stroll for the Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and company, but they should eventually prevail and it’s difficult to see who will provide the goal threat against a team of France’s quality for the Romanians.
